Needed more intensity. Too short and lacking fulfilment.why did she leave her parents . Where did all beliefs come from

Very good story couldn't stop until i had completed the book gave it four stars.i look forward to reading more.
This book is very positive in the concept of faith, and love. In it, we follow Emma and her journey to regaining her faith. This leads to a personal turmoil which sets in as she finds a love that is not endorsed by what she knows, or her community.
It's overall really very interesting, in reference to the Amish culture. Initially I was put off, as technology is my life (I work in IT/CS), luckily I got past this by the third paragraph. It is very Amish, but its not pressuring the reader into the "simplicity is the way to go" mindset, which I have noticed from other Amish oriented literature. Instead it focuses on character and plot.
I feel this is the sort of book that should be read when needing a "pick me up".
One person runs away from bustling city life searching for the calm and peaceful life of rural inhabitants. Another wants to escape from the boredom of village and local community traditions trying to start new life in the city and travel throughout the world. The destiny decided correct their plans two tired and lonely souls found each other under the cover of black night. Frankly speaking, if I were Emma, I would definitely drown in the soft brown eyes of her savior. I am sure that the inner look of urban girl impressed Benjamin greatly and he forgot about his desire to leave the village immediately. Is it love? Read the book and you will know what had happened after their meeting in the stall…Their first meeting and further development of the story invaded my whole evening. It’s easy to read and very interesting. Advise you to read if you believe in real love.
Almost a Romeo and Juliet theme, only no one dies. An interesting story of am Englisher girl coming to live with her aunt and uncle to learn their ways and hopefully be closer to God. On her first day there she meets an Amish boy and they instantly fall in love.....real love. The story is about what they have to go through to convince both their families they should be married.
A good read and I would be inclined to recommend it.
This is the first Amish love story I've ever read, and to be honest, it was a wee bit hard to read at first. The author uses what I'm guessing are Amish spellings for several words throughout the book, and it took me a while to work out that it was done on purpose. It is actually kind of charming, once you get used to it. The story itself was short and sweet, very positive and uplifting. The two main characters were likeable enough, though I would have loved more of Emma's backstory. She is seeking a closer relationship with God, but finds a love that will test her faith. I like the fact that she was not willing to compromise on her faith, just for love. But, of course, her faith keeps her love alive, and there is a happy ending after all!
